“Why did Maoyuu chapter 6 take so freaking long to release?”
…said nobody ever.
How come people aren’t pestering me to release chapters faster? Do people really not like the Maoyuu serialization we are (I am) doing (I practically do almost everything but ZeroDC’s input is really helpful by the way)? You’re making me cry big babby tears here.
Anyway, you can download the chapter by joining us on IRC and typing: !maoyuu6
Also, I need help with Maoyuu. If you truly would like to work on Maoyuu to help it release faster, please navigate to the recruitment information page that is specific to Maoyuu. Please read it carefully.
There is a reason why there is a specific recruitment page for Maoyuu. Honestly, I am very demanding and I am very picky. If you apply and pass, you will be doing things exactly as I say (for example, with regards to cleaning methods and typesetting).
It doesn’t sound pleasant, and it probably won’t be pleasant for you if you end up joining and don’t know these things about me and the Maoyuu workflow. But really, please, if you enjoy Maoyuu and think you can bring something to the table to help speed up releases, consider applying.
It saddens me, but I do not really expect anyone to actually apply. But I just thought I would try asking.

I thought the rule was to never bug scanlators about getting releases out?
Reply: Linksys is the exception. He grows stronger and more powerful with every additional complaint he receives.

will you guys at village idiots do Maoyuu Maou Yuusha Gaiden too? I read something about it in your earlier post but I was just wondering
Reply: Yes, we want to do it. We have been waiting for the volume 1 tankoubon release which either has happened recently or will be soon.

Thanks for the release…
And I think, that bugging Scanlators or Fansubbers is prohibited.
I myself hate that bugging and every Scanlator and Fansubber has a real life.
It is always a hard work to scanlate or to fansub and I am for every release really grateful.

well, i hate bugging scanlators and i am grateful for every release as i understand RL may leave next to no time for scanlations just like it leaves me no time to even be able to offer help to scanlators (10 hour shifts a day plus only 1 day off a week which i tend to spend reading manga and LN’s)
but if you insist, (and this may be the wrong thread to do this, but hey) why isn’t Dakara Boku Wa H Ga Dekinai updated all that often??
Reply: lol, you should only ask about Maoyuu (it is the only series you are thus far explicitly allowed to bug Linksys about). Linksys doesn’t do Dakara, so I suggest not asking about that. Also, I think Dakara isn’t updated that often because the translator is not around.

@lupusderp: Yes, this is the wrong thread
Dakara is no_comxx’s project, and most of us have no idea how they ever get done anyway.

can somebody tell me the difference between this manga and MAOYUU MAOU YUUSHA – KONO WATASHI NO MONO TONARE, YUUSHA YO KOTOWARU!? I’ve read a bit of both but so far it’s pretty much the same
Reply: The difference is the target audience.

MAOYUU MAOU YUUSHA – KONO WATASHI NO MONO TONARE, YUUSHA YO KOTOWARU!? is difference in both translation, art style, and target audience. Due to the relative shortness of dialog, it’s probabbly easier to do a good job on them.
In contrast, MMY’s dialog is very much longer, with some archaic style built in. Therefore the translation seem to be harder and filled with inconsistency when you analyze it in its own context as well as compare it with MMYKWNMTYYK.
Reply: Not sure what you mean by inconsistency, but any inconsistency I can think of is due to ambiguity in the Japanese.

I don’t bug scanlators for releases because I feel like it’d be rude, but please don’t think that means I don’t like this series. It’s one of my favorites, and thank you very much for scanlating it.
